Quand une interview de Mathieu Bitton cache une visite guidée, c’est pour nous l’occasion de vous partager les secrets de l’exposition photo d’ASCENSION et FLASH qui vient de se terminer en Bulgarie.
On en profite aussi pour partager la « diffusion » du DVD « Just Let Go » à la radio Américaine, et l’annonce de dates supplémentaires.
Le moins que l’on puisse dire est que cette expo a créé l’événement à Sofia dès son ouverture.
En quelques chiffres : 1 interview radio, 1 interview télé, 1 conférence et 1 lecture en anglais par Mathieu Bitton écoutée par près de 160 personnes et une affluence exceptionnelle dès l’ouverture avec près de 700 personnes.
L’événement a été accueilli par le président de la République de la Bulgarie Rossen Plevneliev, inaugurée par l’ambassadeur des États-Unis Eric Rubin et l’Ambassadeur d’Autriche Roland Hauser entre autres.
Comme précédemment annoncé, Lenny n’a pas pu se rendre à Sofia. Mais était-il vraiment absent ? En
conversation vidéo avec Mathieu Bitton comme le montre la photo, il partage : « j’aurais aimé être là, je suis reconnaissant à la foule Bulgare qui ont assisté à notre exposition ».(source

L’occasion exceptionnelle de découvrir quelques anecdotes sur beaucoup de photos, comme par exemple, que celle avec son chien Leroy prise à Nîmes, est la préférée de Lenny.
Celle où il dort dans l’avion, a été prise pendant le voyage retour vers Paris après le tournage de "The Butler". Lenny propose à Mathieu de se mettre au travail mais il s'endort ...
Ou encore celle contre la fenêtre les bras levés, était aux Bahamas chez lui, on voit le reflet de l’océan sur la vitre, la prise est sans pose comme toutes les photos d’Ascension.
Mathieu nous confie également qu’il travaille sur 2 projets en cours : un livre photo grand format et sur un nouveau documentaire sur la carrière de Lenny !
Côté musique, le DVD « Just Let Go » sera diffusé en radio ! Aux Etats-Unis, le 13 mai à 20h ET. Emission Show time sur WFJA Classic Hits and Oldies 105.5 FM.
Enfin, le planning de la tournée américaine continue de se remplir avec 2 nouvelles dates supplémentaires : le 03 septembre à Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival et le 16 septembre à KAABOO Del Mar (Californie) déjà en vente. Bien chanceux ces fans Américains J

When an interview of Mathieu Bitton turns out to be a private visit, it's the opportunity for us to share some secrets of the photo exhibitions ASCENSION and FLASH which just ended in Bulgaria. We are also going to pass along some information about the broadcasting of the DVD "Just Let Go" on air, and some extra gigs announced.
The least we can say is that this exhibition created the event in Sofia at its opening.
Few facts: 1 radio interview, 1 TV interview, 1 conference and 1 lecture in English by Mathieu Bitton, followed by almost 160 persons and an exceptional participation up to about 700 persons at the opening. The event has been welcomed by Rossen Plevneliev, president of the Republic of Bulgaria, inaugurated among others by Unis Eric Rubin, ambassador of the USA and Roland Hauser, ambassador of the Austria.
As previously announced, Lenny didn't come to Sofia. Wasn't he really here? In
conference call with Mathieu Bitton as you can see on the picture above, he says: "I would have loved being here- I am so thankful to the Bulgarian crowd attending to our exhibition". (source:

Unfortunately, we didn't have the chance to come over and see this event, but while being interviewed by ArtLive*, a Bulgarian online TV channel, Mathieu commented it for our greatest pleasure in a private visit! Waouh! (Video in English, Subtitles in Bulgarian)
An exceptional opportunity to discover some anecdotes on a lot of pictures, for example, that the one with Leroy, his dog captured in Nîmes (France) is Lenny's favorite one. Or the one where Lenny is sleeping in the plane: it was taken during the flight back to Paris after the filming of the movie "The Butler". Lenny suggests to Mathieu to have some work done, but he went asleep in meantime...
Or yet, the one where Lenny is standing arms up against his kitchen windows in Bahamas, we can see the reflection of the ocean on the windows. The picture is without pose as any of ASCENSION photos.
Mathieu also shares with us that he is currently working on a book table and a new documentary on Lenny's carrier!
On the music side, the DVD "Just Let Go" will be broadcasted at the radio! In US, 8 PM ET, 05/13. Show Time program on WFJA Classic Hits and Oldies 105.5 FM
