C'est le compte -rendu d'une fan à un concert de Lenny qui devait avoir lieu en mars et qui avait été annulé ( hé hé normal il était en France avec nous !!! :P

It was a great night! I'll try to write as much as I can possibly remember so I'll warn you now that this will be a long post I was in row 6, dead centre and FORGOT my camera! Ugh!

The band jammed a lot! Lenny would just stand back and groove while the horns and Craig took turns. Dancin' Till Dawn and I'll be Waiting went on and on and on! During one session they went into Pink Floyd's Another Brick in the Wall and Michael Jackson's Billie Jean. Lenny got the crowd singing but we were a little quieter during Billie Jean and Lenny said "Come on, we still love Michael". When they were jamming he would close his eyes and dance and shake his head back and forth and say things like "I feel it"

He said Dancin' Till Dawn was going to be the next single. Craig was phenomenal as always. On I'll be Waiting he had a solo at the end that was unreal. When Lenny introduced the band at the end of the night he called Craig "The Maestro".

He seemed to be full of energy - he's always energetic but last night moreso than I've seen in a while. He was definitley having a good time and flirted a lot with the ladies I can't remember what song it was, I think maybe Dancin' Til Dawn, and was kneeling down singing to some girls in front and he had his glasses off (oh by the way, the sunglasses came off after the first song and stayed off most of the night) and he was grinning from ear to ear - that smile - you know what i'm talking about! He is one sexy beast when he smiles! He said "women like the bass, I think you like the bass. Women like the bass because it's low and it vibrates." Then he called over Tony the bass player and said "play the bass for her" and pointed to the girl.

When introducing Stillness of Heart he said he was interviewed backstage before the show and the interviewer asked him what it was like to live the life of a rockstar and he said he couldn't answer that question. Said he's the same as everyone else - has fears, doubts etc. and we all have to find stillness of heart.

At one point he stopped the show and said there was a guy who came backstage before the show but Lenny didn't get to meet him and he wanted him to come up on stage now. So this guy comes out on stage with a girl behind him. Lenny asks their names and then says something like, "I was asked if I could share the stage with him for 5 mintues so I'll let him do his thing". I thought maybe the guy was a musician and Lenny was going to let him play a song or something. So the guy goes to the mic and says "you only get one opportunity to do this..." I turned to my hubby and said 'he's going to propose!' and sure enough he got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend! The crowd went crazy and Lenny just stood back smiling. They had their moment and at the end the couple was hugging and Lenny went over to them and said "I want to get in on that" and they had a group hug on stage. I just got married about a month ago and I turned to my hubby and said 'why couldn't you have proposed like that? Can you imagine getting your proposal on stage at a Lenny concert. Lucky girl! I have no idea how the guy orchestrated it but what a story they'll have to tell.

During Let Love Rule he got the audience to do the usual sing-a-long to the chorus and also did his walk around the venue in the crowd. They changed it up a bit though, instead of the crowd singing the chorus and the band being quiet on stage the band last night kept playing but also played a more lively version of the song. I don't really know how to describe it, but it was different than it's been in the past.

There was a guy on stage all night taking photos. Also a guy (maybe the same one I wasn't really paying attention to him) videotaping the show. It wasn't the same as last time they filmed the show in Toronto for the dvd - at that concert they had cameras everywhere - but he was definitley filming the band on stage and the audience a bit. I did read online this morning that Lenny is planning to do something special next year to mark the 20th anniversary of the release of Let Love Rule - maybe a box set or something - so perhaps this footage will be used for that.

He came on stage at about 8:45pm and played straight through until about 10:57pm without an encore. He went off stage at 10:57pm and then came right back out after about 20 seconds or so and said "I'm not going to play the encore game with you. They told me I only have 3 minutes left". At this point there was some sort of scuffle in the front row and security was trying to sort it out and Lenny said "Is everything ok? I've only got 2 minutes 45 left now". He told everyone to jump and for almost the entire song we were all jumping up and down - the energy was incredible. At the very end of the song Lenny got on the drums and did a solo of his own. I can't remember the name of the guy who plays drums for Lenny now, but it just isn't the same without Cindy. Her presence is definitely missed on stage I think. The new guy didn't really have a solo of his own. I remember Cindy's solos and how everyone on stage would just kind of stand back and watch her go. I don't think Lenny EVER would have taken over the drums to do his own solo when Cindy was with him Maybe he did, but I don't recall every seeing him do that. I just remember Cindy owning the drums

He wore black pants, a charcoal gray t-shrit, a black vest, a skinny scarf around his neck and a tuxedo jacket with tails. The tuxedo jacket and sunglasses came off after the first song.

The venue was not sold out. This is the first time in almost 20 years of seeing Lenny perform live that I have not seen him sell out a venue. I don't know if it had anything to do with the concert being rescheduled from March to October or if it had something to do with the album sales this time or lack of promotion? While the crowd that was there last night was amazing, the venue was too large because during the sing-a-long parts the voices of the audience weren't as loud as in the past. But we still showed Lenny great love!!!

He did not disappoint. He was definitely on fire and you could tell he was haivng a great time, especially with the all the jamming going on!

I think someone on this list said it before: the only bad thing about seeing Lenny live is that it has to end

Il semblait plein d'énergie , il a toujours eu beaucoup d'énergie , mais cette nuit encore plus que d'habitude. Il avait l'air de s'amuser et flirtait avec beaucoup de femmes.Je ne sais plus sur quelle chanson c'était , peut-être Dancing till dawn ,il s'est agenouillé devant quelques filles pendant qu'il chantait , il n'avait pas ses lunettes (d'ailleurs il a enlevé ses lunettes de soleil dès la première chanson et jusqu'à la fin )et il souriait jusqu'aux oreilles -ce sourire ! -vous savez de quoi je parle ...Il est une bête sexuelle quand il sourit. A l'intro de Stillness of heart , il a dit qu'avant le show , on l'avait interviewé et qu'on lui avait demandé ce que ça faisait d'avoir une vie de rock star , et qu'il avait répondu qu'il était comme tout le monde , avec des peurs , des doutes , et que chacun devait trouver sa propre paix intérieure (stillness of heart )

A un moment , il a arrêté le show et il a dit qu'iL y avait un gars qui était venu backstage ( coulisses ça fait ring !:P ) avant le show mais Lenny ne l'avait pas rencontré et il lui demandait de venir sur scène maintenant;Alors le gars arriva sur scène avec une fille derrière lui .Lenny leur demanda leurs noms et dit qqchose comme "on m'a demandé si je pouvais partager la scéne avec lui 5 mn, aussi je lui laisse faire son affaire".
Je pensais que le gars devait être un musicien et que Lenny allait le laisser chanter une chanson.Le gars se dirigea vers le micro et dit"on n'a qu'une seule occasion de faire ce genre de choses .Je me suis tournée vers mon mari et dit"il va nous faire qqchose".
Le gars s'est agenouillé et a demandé sa petite amie en mariage. La foule est devenue hystérique ,Lenny se tenait debout en retrait en souriant. Voilà ils ont eu LEUR moment, à la fin le couple s'est serré dans les bras et Lenny en venant vers eux a dit " je veux en être et ils se serrèrent à trois dans les bras.
Je me suis mariée il y a un mois (mais non pas Lenny , suivez quand même !:P ) je me suis tournée vers mon mari et je lui ai dit" pourquoi tu ne m'as pas demandé en mariage comme ça ?"Vous imaginez une demande en mariage sur scène à un concert de Lenny Krzvitz ? Quelle chanceuse ! Je ne sais comment le gars a réussi à organiser ça , quelle histoire à raconter !
pendant Let Love Rule , il a fait chanter le public en choeur et il a fait son petit tour dans la foule.Ce qui a un peu changé , c'est que au lieu d'avoir le public qui chante en choeur et les musiciens calmes sur scène , on a eu droit à à une version plus dynamique de la chanson. Je ne sais pas comment le décrire , mais c'était différent des autres fois.
Toute la nuit , il y a un gars qui a pris des photos. Et aussi un gars (mais peut-être le même , je n'ai pas vraiment fait attention à lui) qui filmait le show.Ce n'était pas le même que la dernière fois qui filmait à Toronto pour le DVD -à ce concert il y avait des appareils (ou caméras) partout- mais il était vraiment en train de filmer les musiciens sur scène et le public un peu.
J'ai lu ce matin sur internet que Lenny prévoit de faire qqchose de spécial l'année prochaine pour fêter le 20ème anniversaire de la sortie de Let Love Rule, peut-être un coffret ou qqchose comme ça , et peut-être ces séquences serviront à ça.

après une petite pause thé voici la suite et fin de la traduction :

Il est arrivé sur scène à 20h45 et il a joué environ jusqu'à 22h57 , avec un rappel.Il est sorti de scène à 22h57 et il est revenu après 20 secondes et a dit "je ne vais pas jouer au jeu des rappels avec vous , il me reste 3 mn". A ce moment il y avait une aspèce de bagarre devant et la sécurité était en train de s'en occuper, et Lenny a dit "c'est bon ? ok ,Il me reste 2mn 45 maintenant".
Il a demandé à tout le monde de sauter et pendant toute la chanson nous avons sauté , l'énergie était incroyable. A la fin de la chanson , Lenny s'est mis à la batterie et nous a fait un solo de son cru.Je ne me souviens pas du nom du gars qui joue de la batterie pour Lenny maintenant ( :P NOUS ON SAIT !!! ), mais c'est juste que ce n'est pas pareil sans Cindy . Sa présence manque vraiment sur scéne je pense. Le nouveau n' a pas vraiment joué un solo à lui. Je me souviens des solos de Cindy et comment qqn aurait pu rester insensible en la regardant. Je ne pense pas que Lenny ait déjà remplacé Cindy à la batterie . Peut-être qu'i l'a fait mais je ne me rappelle pas l'avoir vu faire , je me souviens juste de Cindy posséder , maitriser sa batterie.
Il portait un pantalon noir , un tee-shirt gris anthracite , un gilet noire , une mince écharpe autour du cou , et une veste de smocking queue-de-pie. Il enleva la veste et les lunettes de solieil dès la première chanson.
La salle n'était pas remplie . C'est la première fois en 20 ans depuis que je vois Lenny qu'il ne remplit pas une salle. Je ne sais pas si cela a à voir avec le fait que le concert a été annulé en mars et reporté en octobre ou si cela est en rapport avec les ventes de disque ou la promotion ! Bien que le public qui était là était étonnant , la salle était trop grande parce que pendant les moments où on chantait , les voix du public n'étaient pas aussi fortes que dans la passé. Mais on a montré notra amour à Lenny!!!
Il n'a pas déçu.Il était vraiment à fond et on pourrait dire qu'il nous a donné de grands moments , surtout pendant les jams !
La seule mauvaise chose à propos de Lenny en live , c'est quand c'est fini !

Pas question ! Je suis hyper nulle en anglais ! Sérieux ! Je trouve sympa la vacherie de ER de m'avoir claqué modo sur les chansons et surtout le forum in english ! En sent bien que je suis en pénitence !
