Back in the office after waking up from my Coachella coma, I have some news on the casino shows front.
Lenny Kravitz has canceled his June 11 show at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio.
The casino said he also axed three solo shows around the country (not the ones where he's opening for U2, though, and his management hasn't given a reason for the cancellation.
Fantasy Springs is offering a full refund to anyone who bought tickets.
Ticket holders can call 800-827-2946 to receive a refund.

Lenny Kravitz and Rodrigo y Gabriela have each canceled their respective concerts here. Kravitz was scheduled to perform June 14 at the San Diego County Fair’s 2011 Toyota Summer Concert Series on the Heineken Grandstand Stage, while Rodrigo & Gabriela were set to perform May 26 at Humphrey's Concerts by the Bay.
Tickets for both concerts can be refunded at point of purchase.
A "scheduling conflict" was cited for the cancellation by Rodrigo & Gabriela, the high-octane acoustic guitar duo from Mexico, whose concert at Humphrey's last year sold out. In many cases "scheduling conlfict" is concert-industry code for anemic advance ticket sales, but Rodrigo & Gabriela's May 26 Humphrey's show was selling very well, according to a venue representative.
As for Kravitz, "a conflict of (performance) dates" is the reason his management gave to San Diego County Fair officials for the cancellation of his Grandstand Stage show. Exactly what this "conflict" is remains unclear, however, since Kravitz has no visible "conflict of dates," at least as far as we can determine
He and his band are opening four West Coast shows in June on U2's stadium tour: June 4 in Seattle; June 7 in Oakland; and June 17 and 18 in Anaheim. As of this writing, his web site still lists the June 14 Del Mar show in between his four dates with U2, so go figure.
Then again, Rodrigo y Gabriela's web site still lists their May 26 Humphrey's concert, as well as their May 27 Las Vegas House of Blues show, which reportedly has also fallen through.
No new artist has been confirmed yet to replace Kravitz on June 14, but an announcement will be forthcoming, according to a fair spokeswoman.
